Hope Christmas wasn't too hard on you all.logankstewarthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12269634215857320344noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19648568.post-35461323816839167362013-01-08T15:04:05.640-06:002013-01-08T15:04:05.640-06:00I'm very sorry to hear about your Mamaw, Logan...I'm very sorry to hear about your Mamaw, Logan! I still remember you fondly telling us about her way back in the dorm days.

My grandmother passed two days before Thanksgiving this past year and I felt a lot of the same conflicting interests you mentioned. On the positive side though I really believe her leaving gave our family a chance to reconnect and reflect on what a wonderful and blessed life we've had, and what an important role she played in it.

I hope the new house is treating you, Keisha, and Avonlea well, and that your soon-to-be new lad has as fiercely fiery hair as his father!Billhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14472921619673495203noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19648568.post-76606045425419760182013-01-03T21:21:17.950-06:002013-01-03T21:21:17.950-06:00Thank you both very much. It seems especially hard to lose someone so near to Christmas, a time when you want to be with the ones you love. I'm so happy you and your family were able to see her just hours before she passed away.

It is great to have that truly blessed assurance that you will be together again one day and when you see her then she will be healthy and happy. She is already that, but it is hard for those left behind. I lost the last two of my grandparents in the first quarter of this year and it was hard to realize this holiday that there wouldn't be any interaction with grandparents. It just doesn't seem right somehow.

Bless you and your family with grace and peace and healing and love as 2012 ends and 2013 begins. And hugs to you all from here in Missouri. Carl V. I thankful that her life was such a blessing to you and so many and that you were able to spend such a happy time before she passed--and that she was not alone.

~LAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
