This is it for now, friend. I'm not entirely in love with the checkerboard (I was wanting hatching or some sort of cross-stripe), but I definitely think it looks loads better than my previous scheme. More to come on this later, I'm sure.
Nice! Not sure if this particular layout will be your final choice (green checkerboard, narrow text column), but I like it!
