A Toilet-Bowl Swirl of Thoughts

Racism will never end as long as we use the identifying label “Race.”  Why are racial statistics even aggregated?  It seems counter-productive to me.

I’ve lost most of my interest in Oblivion.  Truly, the most fun I’ve had has been doing the quests for the Dark Brotherhood and the Thieves Guild.  For some reason, the main quest just isn’t that attractive any more.

I bought a PS3, and it came with Dragon Age and Dante’s Inferno.  I’m selling my XBOX, which I bought less than 2.5 months ago, and definitely Dante’s Inferno, cause that just looks stupid.

I love hot tea.  My friend from Iran introduced me to hot tea a few years ago and I’ve loved it ever since.  Boiling a pot and making a cup from fresh tea leaves is the way to go, but sometimes it’s an instant-tea day.

Google Wave.  Google Buzz.  Google Reader.  Gmail.  Google.  Google Calendar.  Picassa.  Dang.

Area of a full flowing circular pipe, A, is equal to
                       A=(πD2)/4

Area of a partially full flowing circular pipe, with the height of the water, Yo, over halfway full, is equal to
            A=(1/8)[2(π-arccos((Yo-r)/r)-sin(2(π-arccos((Yo-r)/r)))]D2

Area of Kentucky is equal to 40,409 sq. mi.

I’m about a third of the way into Best Served Cold.  Abercrombie sure knows how to write, that’s for sure.

In all, we got around 6-8” of snow or so from the other day.

Valentines Day draws near.

I’m not crazy, I’m just a little unwell.  No, seriously.  But I am getting better.  Maybe when I do I’ll have something better to say.  Something that makes more sense.  Cause really, if you boiled this post down, the only thing worth saying was the top point.  The rest is just chaff.  Worthless chaff.

If you don’t have anything meaningful to say, then keep your mouth shut.  Yeah…

-Completely agree with your thoughts on race

-Welcome to the PS3 family. My PSN ID is jonboy_jlf_2004 (the middle part is "jlf" even though the j looks like an i). Go ahead and add me when you have a chance. Don't know if you are much of a shooter fan, but I usually play MW2 nightly with a bunch of friends. You should join us. BTW, Derek also has a PS3. I'm sure he wouldn't mind if you added him: DerekJones07

@Jon: When I get my PS3 in, I'll be sure and add the PSN ID info in. I like FPS games, but I'm sure I'll be spending most of my time with the soon-to-be-released Final Fantasy XIII.

I'm seriously considering buying a PS3 rather than a blue ray player. Would you recommend it?

Don't let the Oblivion fires die! The Daedric Quests result in some great loot, and the main quest ending is worth the effort...

I think there's a rule that if you love hot tea, you have to finish the main quest in Oblivion... sorry, it's the law...

Dragon Age on the PS3? NOOO! That's the PC game of the year for 2009! Don't defile it by playing it on a console! NOOO!!1!!

You certainly can't fault JA for his ability to write... but I'll be curious to see what your ultimate opinion of the story is...

'Worthless Chaff' is my middle name... I guess bad virtual company corrupts good blogging morals... I blame myself... the correct saying is "if you don't have anything meaningful to say, then blog!"

WV: Branless. As in, my diet.

@Kris: If you do, or want to do, any console gaming, I'd definitely recommend the PS3. I bought a 360 back in November cause I couldn't afford the PS3 at the time. Then I wanted a blu-ray player, and since the PS3 has the blu-ray and the gaming capabilities, it's definitely the smarter choice.

@David: I've got 5 days to beat Oblivion, Dave. I'm pretty far into the game, but it just got repetitive and trite. I really enjoyed the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood missions, but most of the other stuff has been boring. I'll try to finish the main quest (and maybe review the game even!) before the 5 days are up. After that, the system gets shipped out.

I'm interested to see the outcome of Best Served Cold myself.

You've been reading my blog too often and it's having an unhealthy effect on you. My advice? Stop now.

There, think we're both feeling a bit better after that.

@Steph: Now, now. Your blog is full of wonderful words, beautifully written and constructed. Alas, it passes not onto me...
